DUCT TAPE HOUSE
We removed the carpet and pad in this space and we refinished the floors with awesome results. The natural light and the size of the room really accentuates the beauty of the floors.
We replaced the front door and replaced the large windows in this room with Low-E insulated glass windows.
Then, we installed a custom window blind. If you notice there is only one valence at the top that hold all three blinds. We did this for two reasons,
1) The largest window in the center is a fixed unit, while the units to the left and right open. 2) Having 3 separate blinds make it easier to raise the blinds up because the weight is split up over 3 blinds, instead of just one.
3) The weight of a blind that long would like begin to sag more quickly than a more conservatively sized blinds.
Lastly, we added a ceiling fan and wall switch, where there was previously no ceiling fixture before.
